From August 1 to 7, Breastfeeding Week is celebrated around the world, an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of this practice, which benefits those who breastfeed, infants and the community in general. In adhesion, the Directorate of Jurisdiction of Maternity and Childhood will carry out different proposals, under the slogan chosen worldwide “Let’s promote breastfeeding, supporting, educating”.
In this framework, fountains and public buildings will be illuminated in golden yellow, a color that symbolizes breastfeeding as the most valuable food in nutrition. In addition, the Course “Promotion, protection and support for human lactation” will be launched, aimed at agents of the provincial public administration, with the aim of providing knowledge on human lactation and contributing to informed decision-making by supporting pregnant people and your families. It will take place from August 15 to 30. Interested persons may register through the CIDI-EDI platform, once the call is published.
The Maternal Neonatal Hospital will offer an extensive schedule of proposals for the community and also for its health team that will last throughout the week, it can be found on the HMN agenda
