“Argentine, 1985”continues to receive recognition since the film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film in the Bafta awards.

The film makes its way back into the awards circuit in the weeks preceding the Hollywood Academy Oscarsafter winning the Golden Globe, and obtain nominations in the Goya and the Critics’ Choice Awards.

The Argentine film that refers to the trials to the boards, will compete against the German one “No news at the front”, the most nominated this year by the UK Academy of Film and Television. Also, she will compete with “Corsage” (Austria, by Marie Kreutzer), “Decision to Leave” (South Korea, by Park Chan-wook) and “The Quiet Girl” (Ireland, spoken in Gaelic, by Colm Bairéad).

Out of the competition they were “Heavyweights” of this season, like the Belgian “Close”by Lukas Dhont, and india “RRR”, of HH Rajamouli.

The ceremony of the 76th edition of the british awards Bafta will be performed on February 19.
