The Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires rejected the request of the defense of Nicolás Carrizo to be sent to house arrest while the investigation of the attempted murder of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner lasts and in the same ruling urged judge María Eugenia Capuchetti to move towards the elevation of the main part of the case to oral trialjudicial sources reported.

The judges of Chamber I of the court ordered “to confirm the resolution dated February 10, 2023 in that it did not allow for the house arrest of Gabriel Nicolás Carrizo”, prosecuted with preventive detention as a secondary participant in the attack, and highlighted that The possibility of hindering the investigation is still “configured in the case,” according to the ruling to which Télam agreed.

In the same resolution, and through two differentiated votes, the magistrates urged Judge Capuchetti -who delegated the investigation to the prosecutor Carlos Rívolo- to move towards the oral and public trial for the event that occurred on September 1 for the that, in addition to Carrizo, those accused of being the perpetrators of the attempted murder are in custody: Fernando Sabag Montiel and Brenda Uliarte.
