Within the framework of the 183rd anniversary of the birth of Cura Brochero, the Municipality of Córdoba presents a guided circuit to remember his birth. A proposal that will cover the traces left by the Argentine saint through the streets of our city.
In this guided walking tour, attendees will be able to discover in depth the emblematic places of the city where the Cura Brochero left his legacy. One of them will be the Plaza del Fundador, the place where the Nuestra Señora de Loreto Seminary School was located, where at the age of 16 he prepared for the priesthood.
The tour will continue through the Jesuit Block and the UNC Historical Museum, where the Universidad Mayor de San Carlos de Córdoba operated, and where Brochero studied Philosophy.
Another interesting point will be the Church of the Company of Jesus. The stories tell that the students celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception there and it is there that the Cura Brochero became a devotee of this image.
The last stretch of the tour will be in the Cathedral Church, where attendees will be able to enjoy the stories of the Priest being a subdeacon, a deacon and later, in his last years of life, Chaplain of the Choir of the Cathedral.
The visit will be free of charge, and will take place today at 10 a.m., starting from the Tourist Information Office of the Historical Council, located at Independencia 30.
