The Paseo del Buen Pastor Photo Gallery will present the photographic work of Carolina Herrán from Thursday at 6:00 p.m. The exhibition consists of 33 images, gathered in two series that reveal, from an intimate perspective, the coexistence of the conscious and the unconscious, the transience and the desire for durability.

The exhibition will be open until November 13, and can be visited from Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with free admission. The room is located at Hipólito Yrigoyen 325 (Córdoba Capital).

About the exhibitions

“Eros, the ineffable of my body” brings together two conceptions of Greek thought: Eros as the power of erotic love (the search for something that we lack) and the creative impulse. Both conceptions are represented through a dialogue between the natural context and the images, with the aim of pointing out the coexistence of two aspects that feed my artistic process: knowledge about the transience of life and the desire to endure.

On the other hand, the series “The flower of my secret”, is the materialization of a dream, a hidden pain that launches itself to meet the image. It is the narration of a possible, of creating memory from images, images that say yes to the longing for the lost, that welcome it in the humidity of its metamorphosis and close in an eternal and dreamlike loop.

The 33 photographs that make up the exhibition invite the viewer to contemplate the revelation of a hidden universe; it intends to question him, making him reflect on the unintelligibility of his being and make visible the impulses that build him.

The exhibition deals with the body and the representation of a dream, therefore, a privileged access route to the unconscious, as spaces in which these are externalized, as an affirmation “I still have the habit of being myself”.
