20 years after the inauguration of Néstor Kirchner as President of the Nation, Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner led a massive act in the Plaza de Mayo. The vice president of the Nation was expected to begin her speech at 4:00 p.m.; but because of the rain she went ahead. The President of the Nation did not attend the act, for his part, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, was present.
The act began with a commemorative video for the 20th anniversary of former President Néstor Kirchner’s inauguration. CFK approached the stage and expressed “Isn’t it raining now? Miracle! and I wanted to be a Billiken figurine”.
“They want me dead or prey. I’ll never be theirs. I’m from the town and I don’t move from there.”
“Exactly 20 years ago we arrived here with him, to this same plaza, where we had been 30 years before. That country that received that Patagonian president with barely 22 percent of the votes. Do not doubt that he continues to live in the heart of the people, in the heart of every Argentine and every Argentine,” he said, referring to Néstor Kirchner.
“Many say that my second government was not so good, it is because it was when the workers earned the most money. I have no doubt that it was when they were able to save the most. They were not 12 easy years, 3 months after taking office as president I almost put the country in a hat, it was something very strong in this very square,” said CFK.

“A political crisis of very strong magnitude, after a few months on wet rain, that of the financial world on Wall Street and the entire world. Immediately, in 2009 came a drought, drought is always something redundant in the Argentine economy, so agro-dependent in some things,” he recalled.
“Drought is always redundant in the Argentine economy.”
The vice president pointed to the media “This is the discussion that millions of Argentines are waiting for and not the nonsense that is said every day in the media.Pardon the expression.”

About the IMF he pointed out “It was no longer the normal standby loans, lThey gave 57 billion dollars so that he could win the elections, an unprecedented and unusual loan. It’s not the pig’s fault, but the one who feeds it my grandmother said. 45 billion dollars liquidated him and even then they could not win the elections. They delivered an indebted country with double-digit unemployment.”
“This government is infinitely better than the government that would have been another Mauricio Macri, I have no doubts.”

“We need a Court that is called as such without turning red, I ask all political parties.”
CFK pointed to Javier Milei and the proposal to dollarize the Argentine economy “When Néstor came to the government, they threatened him with dollarization. If someone had said that he was going to say it at some point, he would have emphatically denied it. That Court that Néstor asked to be made impeachment, next to this mamarracho that we have today, The things that are known and that we find out every day have never been heard or seen. It does not matter if he is a lawyer of one orientation or another, but the Argentines deserve to have a Court that is called as such without turning red, I ask all political parties. It is the image of the country as well.”
