Within the framework of the Commercial and Institutional Mission of the Central Region in Vietnam, progress was made this Monday in the negotiation for the export of pork and citrus to that country. The meeting with Vietnamese authorities was attended by the Ministers of Industry, Commerce and Mining, Eduardo Accastello; and that of Agriculture and Livestock, Sergio Busso.
In this regard, the head of Industry, expressed: “We made progress in the negotiations with Vietnamese officials who promised for next year, in the opening of markets in this country to import pork and sweet citrus”

In this sense, it was reported that a delegation from the Asian country will travel to Argentina to visit the three provinces that make up the Central Region in order to close the health model of the products and start marketing. This will be an opportunity for the officials of the Asian country to learn how the food that is exported is produced and its quality.
This announcement was made at the meeting that also included the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, D. Nguyen Hoang Hiep; and the Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce also from this country, Mr. Do Thang Hai.
In addition, the Governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordet; the Argentine Ambassador in Vietnam, Luis Beltramino, the president of the Federal Investment Council (CFI), Ignacio Lamothe; the Minister of Economy of Entre Ríos, Hugo Ballay; and the Secretary of Federal Management of Santa Fe, Candelaria González del Pino.


“This is very important because it will allow us to progress in other commercial areas that have to do not only with agricultural machinery but also with health supplies in which Córdoba has a great response capacity in the international market”, explained the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mining of Córdoba
Finally, Accastello pointed out that there is great expectation with the visit to Vietnam “with the Cordovan SMEs to continue strengthening our business relationship, taking into account that Vietnam is one of the main countries to which Córdoba exports”.
For his part, Minister Sergio Busso stated: “The proposed agenda revolved around the linking of trade between Vietnam and Argentina. We proposed to complete the necessary paperwork and processes to enable the entry of pork into that country, which will generate a very important business opportunity for producers from Cordoba”.


He then explained that it must be taken into account that in recent years, Córdoba has recorded a significant growth in pig production, having the highest productivity per mother in the country, some 2,100,000 capons (115-kilo animal) are slaughtered annually and 250,000 are obtained. tons of live kilos per year.
“Advancing with the export of pork meat is essential to promote the productive development of Córdoba. This production consumes 500,000 tons of corn per year, generating added value by transforming the grain into meat; which makes production more efficient. said the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.
