The third weekend of January ended with a high occupancy rate in the main valleys of Córdoba, according to the Córdoba Tourism Agency (ACT). Villa Carlos Paz, the most important tourist destination in the province in the Punilla Valley, reached 97.6% of the available accommodation capacity.

In Villa Carlos Paz “it was the best weekend of this summer season. It reached full occupancy”, the secretary of Tourism, Sports and Culture of that municipality, Sebastián Boldrini, told the local media.

The official maintained that “full occupation” was already “throbbing” with the start of the 63rd National Folklore Festival in the neighboring town of Cosquín, and projected that this situation will continue with the carnival holidays in February.

In other towns in the Punilla valley, the occupancy level is also above 90%, as in the case of Cosquín, Huerta Grande, La Cumbre and La Falda, details the ACT report.

The Calamuchita Valley, with festival proposals and other traditional events, also experienced a weekend with full influx and occupancy levels close to 100% in Villa General Belgrano, Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, Villa Rumipal and La Cumbrecita.

In the Traslasierra valley, the average occupancy averaged 98% in Mina Clavero, Nono and Villa Cura Brochero, as in the Ansenuza region with Miramar as the main tourist product, and the same occurred in the Paravachasca valley in Alta Gracia. and the towns of the Sierras Chicas cordon.

The province has about 80,000 beds, of which about 55,000 are located in Villa Carlos Paz, distributed among hotels, inns, cabins, house complexes, apartments, camping sites, and colonies.
