The current weather conditions added to the crucial factor of climate change caused a decrease in the production of oilseeds, which will have a negative impact on income.
Thus, according to the Córdoba Cereal Exchange, the cereal suffered a drop of 10% while in soybeans the reduction was 6%. In both crops, the losses are 554 thousand hectares.
However, half of the lots planted are classified as “very good” or “excellent” according to the report of the Department of Agronomic Information of the Exchange.
This favorable outlook is partly observed despite the water stress and severe droughts that have hit the province.
