The Vice President of the Nation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, announced this Sunday night that she will recuse the president of the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 2, Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu, and the prosecutor Diego Luciani on Monday. The decision is based on the link between the officials, citing on their Twitter account a note from the Page 12 portal, in which images of both judicial workers are shown as part of the “same soccer team”.

“The Argentine judiciary sucks,” wrote former president Fernández de Kirchner in a thread of tweets, where she also stated that she instructed her lawyer to “remove soccer players first thing in the morning.”

The vice president referred to the article on Page 12 entitled “Trial against Cristina Kirchner: The soccer matches of prosecutor Luciani and judge Giménez Uriburu in Macri’s villa”, in which images of these judicial officials are seen with the same shirt , within the framework of a soccer game that “they both played in the fifth of Mauricio Macri, Los Abrojos, when he was the President of the Nation”, according to the journalistic text.

Prosecutor Diego Luciani intervenes in the oral and public trial in which it is investigated whether there was directing of public road works in Santa Cruz in favor of Lázaro Báez’s companies during the Kirchner governments.
