The La Piojera Cultural Center launches a new cultural cycle to enjoy from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 June. The different events will be with free admission and to the cap, you can enjoy a cycle of dance, film and music.

The opening of the room takes place half an hour before each activity. All events have limited capacity and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thursday, June 23 – 7:00 p.m. MUSIC: Network of Neighborhood Orchestras in Concert

We will share a popular music show by the Network of neighborhood orchestras of Córdoba, who develops a work of social construction and cultural rights, through music and the creation of an Orchestra. On this occasion, the Typical Youth Neighborhood Orchestra “El Chingolo” will be presented together with the Tango por la memoria collective.

Friday, June 24 – 9:00 p.m. CINEMA: Premiere “El Brete”

The year is 1975 in the city of Córdoba, exactly at 8:00 p.m. on May 24, 26 political prisoners jump from the kitchen window of the Buen Pastor Women’s Prison, in the largest escape operation of the Cordovan prison history, in which more than two hundred people participated. From the hand of Yatasto we will learn about the events surrounding these events from the perspective of those who, knowingly or not, were involved in the operation.

Saturday, June 25 – 9:00 p.m. DANCE: Landscapes

A folk dance show that runs through all the regions of our country, with a strong interpretive and body work where the idiosyncrasy and way of feeling of the inhabitants of each of those regions is transmitted. Through the bodies of the dancers and their movements, we recognize and revalue the cultural identity of each part of our country.
