This Wednesday, the Province of Córdoba announced that inflation in April was 6.5%. This figure marks a slowdown of 1.5 points compared to March and is much lower than what the Warehouse Center had projected for this month: 8.24%.
For this reason, Germán Romero, director of the Chamber of Grocers, spoke with The Morning of C and gave his opinion on the matter: “I do not object to the work of the province, but I do claim what our statistics department does, which works independently and with international standards.”
“The month of April was forgotten, broke inflation records. Food rose 12%, clothing 9%, medicines 11%. This had to do with the skyrocketing of the blue dollar,” she added.
In this way, he concluded that he does not believe that the Government has made a bad reading, “but our work is always with precision.”
