The series “El Reino”, a Netflix production about an evangelical pastor who throws himself into partisan politics, won three of the six Platinum Awards to which it aspired at the IX gala, the most relevant being Best Miniseries or TV Series Ibero-American Fiction or Documentary Cinematography.
In addition to being the most finished product in its format, the Netflix production was also imposed in the section of Male Cast Interpretation for Joaquín Furriel and in the Creator of Miniseries or Cinematographic Teleseries, for the writer Claudia Piñeiro and the filmmaker Marcelo Piñeyro .
Within the gala that took place at the Ifema Palacio Municipal de Madrid and among the awards for cinema, the Argentine film “Karnawal”, by Juan Pablo Félix, won the category of Opera Prima and Best Male Performance in a Supporting Role, for Alfredo Castro.
