Billionaire Elon Musk announced Tuesday that he is stepping down as CEO of Twitter after finding a replacement. His statement came after several users of the social network expressed their dissatisfaction with him as a result of his being in charge of the company.
“I will step down as CEO as soon as I find someone dumb enough to take the job! After that I will just run the software and server teams,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
It is the first time Musk has mentioned his resignation as head of the social media platform, after Twitter netizens voted in favor of his resignation in a poll the businessman released late Sunday. The results showed that 57.5% of voters want him out of the company.
