n adherence to the sixth edition of the World Day Without Plastic BagsThose who do their shopping this Monday, July 3 in the main supermarkets in the city of Córdoba will receive free recycled paper bags instead of bags of that material.
It is an action is motorized by the company Paper Ecofriendly to which the Municipality of Córdoba subscribed. The initiative tries to be a replica of the campaign that emerged in 2011 in Australia, generated by the activist Rebecca Prince Ruiz.
“This year we seek to connect with each person who receives the recycled paper bag in an emotional, sensitive way, making us see that to move it we often hug it, which translates into a hug that we give to the environment every time we choose materials recycled”, explained María Belén Aguirre, marketing manager of Paper.
In this sense, on Sunday, July 2, recycled paper bags will be delivered at the entrance to the Biodiversity Park, where there is also a sculpture of a giant bag that can be symbolically embraced and take photos.
The shopping centers Libertad, Tadicor Córdoba, Mami, Tadicor Mendoza, Buenos Días, Mariano Max, Cordiez, Cordiez Mixo, A Bulk, Super Dos and El Tunel adhere. Brands such as Creambury, El Club de la Milanesa, Homies and Plutos will also join in by delivering recycled paper bags to their customers.
