Within the framework of the union conflict in the tire sector, which this weekend worsened due to the stoppage of production by the three main manufacturers in the country, Bridgestone, Pirelli and FATE, the president of Fiat, Martín Zuppi, warned that Due to the lack of these inputs, they are “10 days away” from being forced to stop production.

This was expressed in dialogue with Radio Miter, saying that he is “concerned with what is happening with the tires and with everything that has to do with the conflict because there is an entire value chain that ends up being affected by this reason.”

According to Zuppi’s statements, the country’s automakers have a stock for when there is a shortage for a few weeks, but he warned that if the conflict spreads they could be forced to stop the production lines.

“Let us bear in mind that in particular the plants or those of us who produce cars in the country have two or three weeks of tire stock and today I would tell you that we are practically 10 days away from having to stop if this conflict is not resolved,” stressed the president of Fiat. Likewise, he pointed out that “those of us who produce cars in the country have two or three weeks of tire stock and today I would tell you that we are practically 10 days away from having to stop.”
