The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, announced last night that the engineer from Salta Flavia Royón will be appointed Secretary of Energy of the Nation. Royón was until now an official of the governor of Salta, Gustavo Sáenz, who seconded Massa in the presidential formula that was presented in 2015.
The Minister informed that Santiago Yanotti, from Tucuman, will serve as Undersecretary of Electric Power, while Federico Bernal will hold the position of Undersecretary of Hydrocarbons and Cecilia Garibotti will be Undersecretary of Planning.
I announce that starting tomorrow Flavia Royón will join the team as Secretary of Energy, accompanied by Santiago Yanotti as Undersecretary of Electric Power, Federico Bernal as Undersecretary of Hydrocarbons and Cecilia Garibotti as Undersecretary of Planning.

Flavia Royón was serving as Secretary of Mining and Energy of Salta, in addition to presiding over the Economic and Social Council of that province. Who will occupy the strategic secretariat of Energy of the Nation is an industrial engineer graduated from the National University of Salta, MBA at the IAE Business School and has a diploma in matters related to production and comprehensive mining management, business and agile methodologies.
Meanwhile, Yanotti had previously served as vice president of the Administrative Company of the Wholesale Electricity Market (Cammesa), where he had assumed office in June 2021.
The appointments in the area of energy could aim to settle a sensitive area and one of the points of disagreement that would have triggered the departure of former Economy Minister Martín Guzmán, due to his disagreements with former Undersecretary of Electric Power Federico Basualdo.
