World Heart Day has been celebrated every September 29 since the year 2000. The date was declared by the World Health Organization with the aim of raising awareness about cardiovascular diseases, their prevention, control and treatment. Every year, World Heart Day focuses on a theme and this 2022 the theme is: “Use the heart for every heart”.

Risk factors that affect the heart
