After Martín Guzmán, Minister of the Economy, submitted his resignation through a letter on his Twitter account, the Secretary of the Treasury, Raúl Enrique Rigo, decided to follow in his footsteps and leave his post. In the letter, he did not give more details than to formalize his departure from the portfolio that he had directed since December 2019.
In the letter presented to the President, the head of the Treasury stated: “I am writing to you, for the purpose of presenting my resignation to the position of Secretary of the Treasury of the Nation, in which I have been working since December 10, 2019, since the beginning of your term. Without other issue, I salute you accordingly“.
During his extensive career, Rigo worked in areas of administration, budget and public finance. Between 2002 and 2017 he was Undersecretary of the National Budgetwhile also working as a budget advisor at provincial and legislative levels.
