The Córdoba Tourism Agency (ACT) participated this Thursday in the presentation of the Hiking Month, an opportunity for sports and nature lovers to enjoy a grid of activities organized by different municipalities.
The opening took place in the García Lorca Park in Alta Gracia, with the presence of the Minister of Government, Facundo Torres; the president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Esteban Avilés; and the mayor of Alta Gracia, Marcos Torres.
“Hiking caused an important movement of tourists in recent years; today the tourist and the family choose places that are accessible for the practice of this activity. Active tourism provides an innovative imprint to the tourism offer in our province, and it is achieved thanks to joint work with all tourism sectors and in all tourist corridors”, said the president of the ACT, Esteban Avilés.
“In the month of spring, we want everyone who visits us to enjoy nature, our landscapes and our mountains,” he added.
The key to this proposal is that there are tours to take in various mountain towns, guided and free. With agreed departure times and of varying intensity and length, there are tours for all tastes, ages and physical states.
Although there are countless trails to follow, some with themed routes were planned:
- Saturday 3: San Javier (Valley of Traslasierra).
- Saturday 10: Villa Yacanto (Calamuchita).
- Saturday 1: sustainable trail in the Chocancharava Reserve (Río Cuarto)
- Saturday 24: trails in Quebrada del Condorito National Park
In each of the trails you will be able to appreciate the different species of native fauna and flora, thus awakening awareness of respect and care for the environment.
In the digital guide there are options with varying degrees of difficulty, crossing streams, going through mountains, discovering waterfalls and countless magical corners to enjoy.
