The Ministry of Education confirmed that starting in August, more than 100 public primary schools in the province will have one more hour of classes starting in August. Students in the first three years (1st, 2nd and 3rd grade) will begin a 5-hour school day.

In this time extension, the contents to be developed will be based on the prioritized programs, incorporating, in addition, the English foreign language. It should be noted that Córdoba launched the Extended Day with 2 more hours of classes per day in grades 4, 5 and 6 (second cycle), incrementally, since 2010. Today, the extension of the day in the second cycle reaches 1,062 schools, of which 107 also apply two more hours per day in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade (first cycle).

On the other hand, the ministry confirmed that according to a survey carried out, during this year in the province 822,461 students of all compulsory school levels are enrolled, which represents a growth rate of 0.6% compared to last year. .
