The Minister of Transport, Alexis Guerrera, met with the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau, to discuss -among other issues- the Compensation Fund for public transport in the interior of the country and the need to generate a new distribution system of the subsidies.
“We were discussing the possibility of generating some federal matter in relation to transportation, a federal fund thinking of improving the system and the possibility of having what is called a single ticket; beyond the particularities of the area, to have control of the SUBE card throughout the country,” said López.
Sources from the Ministry of Transportation agreed that “the various projects of the deputies on ‘federal ticket’ and Compensation Fund were reviewed, and the current situation was monitored.”

The “federal ticket” refers to an initiative promoted by deputies from Cordoba and Mendoza to generate a more equitable distribution system, since 85% of the resources go to the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA).
On the other hand, in the meeting between Guerrera and Moreau the issue of “zero alcohol at the wheel” was also addressed, which has also been analyzed in the Transportation Commission in informative meetings. The measure is strongly promoted by the Renovating Front.
