The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) published the Wholesale Price Index System (SIPM) for the month of February. In the second month of the year, wholesale prices increased by 4.7 percent compared to January. From the agency they indicated that “This variation is a consequence of the 4.9% rise in “National Products” and
2.8% in “Imported Products””.

In addition, “the general level of the Wholesale Basic Domestic Price Index (IPIB) showed a rise of 5.0% in the same period. In this case, the variation is explained by the rise of 5.2% in the “ National Products” and 2.8% in “Imported Products”.
Likewise, the general level of the Basic Producer Price Index (IPP) registered an increase of 5.3% in the same period, as a consequence of the rise of 6.2% in “Primary Products” and of 5.0 % in “Manufactured products and electrical energy”, “says the report.
