From May 17 to 24, “Córdoba Patria” will be held, an event that will bring together multiple cultural and folkloric activities in different spaces of the city. Among the main attractions is the 1st Competitive Meeting of Folklore Disciplines. This contest is aimed at music and dance academies, ballets, malambistas, percussionists, comedians, singers and folk groups from all over the province

The event will be with free admission to the most traditional clubs in the city: El Aljibe, La Diablera, La Taba, Mateo, Cantina de Don Carlos and Fogón Argentino. Registration will be open until Friday May 13 and you can participate in various categories such as: Minor Folkloric Dance Ensemble, Major Folkloric Dance Ensemble, Musical Folkloric Show, Individual Malambo, Group Malambo, Percussion and Drums Show, Humor, Storyteller Costumbrista, Stand Up, among others.

In addition, on May 21 from 1:00 p.m. a stage will be set up in Parque Sarmiento, which will feature the presence of great artists of our popular music such as Jairo, Los Trajinantes, Los Soñadores along with malambistas, dance companies and comedians. . With free admission, the central stage will be located on Nores Martínez street, on the entrance roundabout to Ciudad Universitaria. In addition to the artistic proposal, this event will feature food trucks of typical foods.

Lastly, on May 24, the call to the public moves to the North Market (Oncativo 50) which joins the great event with a day that will begin in the morning and end at dusk, focusing on music, identity and gastronomy.
