Throughout the month of January, in different parts of the province of Córdoba you will be able to enjoy an endless number of festivals, with the presence of important artists who will perform on different stages. You can also take advantage of a great gastronomic proposal, with typical local foods.

Below we leave you the complete festival agenda so that you can put together your schedule of which places you want to visit during the holidays.

From 6 to 14: “Youth Week” (La Paz): There will be typical food stalls and handicrafts from local entrepreneurs will be sold. The student promotions and youth bars of the town will have an active participation.

From 6 to 16: “57th National Festival of Dressage and Folklore” (Jesús María)

13 and 20: “Comechingones Vivo” (Mina Clavero): A new edition of Comechingones Vivo arrives in the Traslasierra Valley, the musical staging that values ​​the work of local and regional artists. You can enjoy the festival from 9:00 p.m. at the Comechingones Cultural Center. On Friday, January 13, there will be a rock night and on Friday, January 20, a women’s night.

From 8 to 14: “55° National Malambo Festival” (Laborde): a festival dedicated to the male dance par excellence: the malambo. This celebration seeks to ensure the permanence and dissemination of our traditions through the exchange of provincial popular cultures and sister countries. In addition, parallel activities such as conferences and dance and music workshops, craft patio, food court and the election of the Malambo National Countrywoman are carried out.

From 8 to 14: “51° National White Gold Festival” (Canals): This event has been held since 1971, it is a tribute to the dairy industry in the province of Córdoba. The festival lasts a whole week, beginning with the election of the White Gold Queen and continuing the following days with cultural activities, such as artistic events of various kinds.

From 12 and 26: “Strassenfest. Fiesta en la Calle” (La Cumbrecita): In the center of La Cumbrecita, the restaurants take their tables and chairs out onto the street, and together with excellent gastronomy, the party is born by the hand of a Tyrolean orchestra, while a group of dancers with his typical costumes he delights those present; who, infected by the unique rhythm, join the dance, having fun in an unforgettable night. Event that takes place every Thursday in January and February starting at 9:00 p.m.

13 and 14: “43rd National Corn Festival of the Pampa de Pocho” (Salsacate): The event begins at 10:30 p.m. and the cost of advance tickets is $130 (under 10 years free). Grid of artists: Nacho and Daniel – QV4 – Los Olivareños – Estampas Tulumbanas – Julio Céjas – Presagio de mi Tierra – Los Salamancas – Municipal Academy of Salsacate – Municipal Academy of Cura Brochero, among others.

13 and 14: “34° Dressage and Folklore Festival” (Río de Los Sauces)

13 and 14: “Un Canto a la Vida Festival” (Embalse): This event has become one of the most important and convening in the province thanks to the national and international level of artists who come together every year in Embalse. It is the largest festival in the Calamuchita Valley.

14 and 15: “39° Provincial Watermelon Festival” (San José): On the opening evening they will present their shows Diableros de Orán, Nadia Pereyra, Cantores de Santa Cecilia, Los Kijanos, Gabi Oviedo and Franco Altamirano. Meanwhile, on January 15, Verónica, the queen of Cumbia and Banda Mix will do the same. That same night the weighing of fruits will be done to determine the champion watermelons in their various types.

From 20 to 22: “Festival of the River and the Moon” (Santa Rosa de Calamuchita): This time, the property of the “La Estancia” Complex is the place chosen for us to enjoy two international shows such as: Jorge Rojas the day Friday the 20th and Abel Pintos on Saturday the 21st of January. The property will open its doors both days from 7:00 p.m. and it will have a field of food and drinks so that the family can enjoy the local gastronomy during the shows.
