The first week of July, the month of the winter school break, invites with a range of cultural and recreational proposals to share with the family.

Here’s a look at the highlights.

children’s book fair
On Thursday 7, starting at 2:00 p.m., the 12th Córdoba Children’s Book Fair will open to the public at the Córdoba Cultural Center. The fair can be enjoyed from July 7 to 24, from 2 to 9 p.m. on weekdays; and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Every day, with free admission, there will be theater, music and puppet performances at 3 and 6 p.m. In addition, there will be a lyrics corner at 4 p.m. and you can also enjoy street shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m.

On the same Thursday 7th at 8:00 p.m., at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy, the Singing Seminar of the Teatro del Libertador, directed by maestro Matías Saccone, presents, together with the Orfeón de la Cantoría de Merced and the Municipal String Orchestra of Córdoba, directed by maestro Santiago Ruiz, “Música para abrigar”, a solidarity concert whose purpose is to collect coats for homeless people, for which the donation of a coat is requested. Entrance is free and open.

Inauguration in Río Cuarto
On Friday 8 at 8 pm, with free admission, there will be an inauguration of samples at the Casa de la Cultura in Río Cuarto. Three new exhibitions can be visited until Thursday, August 4: «Divagues.typo.graficos» by Nacha Vollenweider, a project that emerged in 2020 during the months of strict isolation in which the artist combines two aspects of the language of comics ( image and word-image) presented in 40 large vignettes; Pray by Daniela Llaya, an exhibition in which the author, through painting, generates situations of human interaction, integrating them into spaces that break with the Renaissance perspective, where she commands the stain; and in the Treasure Room, engravings by the artist Víctor Rebuffo belonging to the heritage of the Municipal Museum of Río Cuarto will be presented.
