Kammerath’s defense lawyer, Eduardo Gómez Caminos, confirmed the decision of the judge of Criminal Execution 2 of Córdoba, Cristóbal Laje Ros. He, however, clarified that the sentence has not been completed, which originally had an end date of April 28, 2025, but that served two thirds of the sentence. It should be remembered that a reduction of 14 months was applied to him for good behavior, for having learned trades and for having worked in the prison where he was held.
The former official entered the Bouwer prison on October 28, 2021, after the Nation’s Supreme Court of Justice upheld the sentence against him to three years and six months in prison. The ruling was accepted by the 2nd Crime Chamber of Córdoba and his arrest was ordered.
