The 2023 summer season has officially started in Villa Carlos Paz, and Kinky Boots had its premiere this Wednesday night at the Luxor Theater. With Fede Bal, Laura Esquivel and Federico Salles as protagonists -accompanied by an impressive cast-, the original Broadway musical makes its way onto the Cordoba billboard.
Exclusively with Canal C, Bal and Flavio Mendoza, one of the general producers of the play, told everything about the great debut and what this adaptation means to them, which includes live singing and dancing, acting, scenery, makeup, and costumes. high level.
“I am happy because we are giving the public what the public gave us all these years. Luxor needs this quality of shows”, remarked Mendoza, who in turn stressed that “The message of the play is very positive. Starting to see other people as equals; it’s something of the equality that we have all suffered. I love that people come and have a lot of fun.”

Fede Bal, in turn, remarked that both his mother Carmen Barbieri (who was present at the premiere) and his father Santiago Bal accompanied him on stage, also noting that this display was one of the greatest challenges of his career. “I see them all the time. My character is very histrionic, at times my old lady, when I am not dredging I feel like my old man. I am their son and the faithful reflection.”
