Starting next Thursday, the city of Leones will relive its maximum event: the 67th National Wheat Festival. Among the main activities, there will be the 50th National Wheat Days, the 9th National Wheat Table, a business round and the 1st Youth Day. In addition, there will be live shows, a parade of floats, a livestock exhibition, food spaces, stands with agricultural machinery and craft stalls, among many other cultural attractions.
The traditional event that pays homage to Argentine wheat and the country man and woman will run from February 16 to 19 in this city in the southeast of the province. It is organized by the Club Leones Deportivo, Agrario, Social and Library. As usual, the closure scheduled for Sunday the 19th will be with the election of the 2023 National Wheat Queen.
The Wheat Festival has been held in Leones since 1956 with the hierarchy of “national”. For the event, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Córdoba, the Córdoba Grain Exchange and the Rural Society of Leones They organized a full agenda of technical and political meetings for the entire wheat chain.
The official inauguration will be on Thursday 16, at 2:30 p.m., with the presence of authorities, sponsors and the community in the Club Leones sports gym. At 3:00 p.m. the 9th National Wheat Table will take place, with different actors from the Argentine wheat-producing provinces.
As for the show proposal, on Friday the 17th at night Q’Lokura and Los Manseros Santiagueños will perform as special guests, in addition to Candelaria Tissera.
On Saturday the 18th, Ángela Leiva, Jorge Rojas and the Verve string quartet will take to the main stage of the party.
On Sunday the 19th, Juan Fuentes and Damián Córdoba will perform.
