Between this Wednesday and Friday, the city of Buenos Aires receives leaders, businessmen, young leaders and scientists from all regions of the planet. The purpose of this meeting? Create a sustainable future. The event invites to discuss climate change, its effects and the role that local governments have in the fight to face it. The C40 is a network of mayors from nearly 100 of the world’s leading cities, taking urgent action to tackle the climate crisis and create a future where everyone can thrive.

LLARYORA AND CLIMATE CHANGE

There and in front of thousands of people, the mayor of Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, spoke this afternoon in the panel “Climate cooperation aimed at sustainable finance between cities”.

“In the city of Córdoba we are promoting and leading the transformation process from a linear economy to a circular one, we believe that there will be no place for cities that do not adopt an environmental policy”said the mayor.

THE STRUGGLE FOR FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION CONTINUES

Despite the fact that at this time the mayor is not on Cordovan soil, he raises more than ever the demand from the interior for federal transportation. “We fight for the people of Cordoba. The interior deserves subsidies”, he declared exclusively for channel C in the preview of the mega event. “We ask the government that Argentina be federal,” she strongly requested the national leaders.

A NEW MARATHON ARRIVES IN CÓRDOBA

On October 30, a new marathon will take place at the epicenter of the Kempes Sports Center. There will be competitive and participatory categories, for conventional athletes and those with different disabilities.

Asked about the event, Llaryora assured that it is “a way to position Córdoba at the top” and that ultimately they are “happy for a new edition”

Those who wish to participate can sign up to run distances of 42, 21, 10 and 5 kilometers. It should be remembered that registration is free for participants, with limited seats, through maraton42k.cordoba.gob.ar, until October 27 inclusive. Thus, on the marathon website it is possible to view and download the forms to submit and the conditions of participation. Athletes participating in the tests must present, without exception, a mandatory physical fitness certificate (medical certificate) signed by a licensed medical professional, original and copy.
