After confirm that he would not be a candidate for this year’s elections, former president Mauricio Macri He continues to make statements in the media throughout the country, and this Tuesday he spoke about Córdoba, a province that on two occasions gave him the go-ahead to preside over the country, although it was not enough for re-election in 2019.
On this occasion, he spoke with the journalist Miguel Clariá from Cadena 3 and referred at length to the relationship he has with our province. “My wonderful bond is for life due to trust and affection, and I will always be close to the people of Cordoba. In his province, populism never conquered ideas. Córdoba has always been and will continue to be the engine of growth and understanding in Argentina. I have a good personal relationship with Governor Juan Schiaretti, we’ve known each other for years.”said the former president, but clarified that “has no” relationship with Cordoba Peronism in its entirety.

He also spoke of his relationship with the senator and gubernatorial candidate, Louis Judge, and clarified that with him still “there is a pending conversation”: “We have had many short circuits and there are things about him that I have not been able to understand or agree. I’ll go to Córdoba at some point and we’ll sit down to talk,” he said, although he did not clarify if he is going to give him his support or not. About the elections, he said: “I have always been very respectful of the Cordoba electorate and its preferences in the province. I think there is a problem of complex continuity; alternation is the solution to oxygenate politics”.
Regarding the support that he will give to the Juntos por el Cambio inmate, he once again avoided clarifying whether he is going to support Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, María Eugenia Vidal or Patricia Bullrich: “I have not given any opinion on it. I try to review my opinions and try to be as objective as possible, but recognizing that it is a task to be achieved. I said that really, objectively, If in my interior I feel that there is someone who is more suitable for Argentina (…), my equanimity is towards those Cordoba or Argentines”.
