Teachers from the Manuel Belgrano Higher School of Commerce and the Monserrat National College, pre-university schools dependent on the National University of Córdoba (UNC), will once again carry out a five-day strike next week, between March 27 and April 1. It should be remembered that this measure of force has its closest antecedent in the cessation of activities that took place between March 13 and 17.

The union, the National Federation of University Teachers, Researchers and Creators (CONADU Histórica), maintains the rejection of the national government’s proposal, considering it absolutely insufficient both for the closing of the 2022 parity (2.8% to be collected in April) and for the parity 2023 with 30% in three installments: 16% in March, 7% in May and 7% in June.

The measure is announced in the midst of a provincial context that includes a strike by teachers from both public and private schools throughout Córdoba on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. In this sense, during today’s session, more than 120 teachers participated in a meeting at Monserrat to define a joint plan of struggle that contemplates the regularization of the teaching staff, university citizenship and particular historical claims.

On Tuesday the 28th there will be a joint activity between the Manuel Belgrano School and the Monserrat in the building at Calle La Rioja 1450 and on Wednesday the 29th the call will be in the Argentina Pavilion within the framework of the University Assembly. Finally, on Thursday the 30th there will be a meeting of the teachers of the Manuel Belgrano School.
