On Friday afternoon, Mariana Genesio Peña was interviewed by the chronicler of LAM (America) for the Ángel de Brito program. In the middle of the chat, a stranger approached the mobile and began to shout unpleasant comments towards the actress.
“Is it a job, No?”said the man. Receiving no response, he continued: “There are just two genders, huh. The rest are mental disorders.” Genesio Peña decided to remain silent at that uncomfortable moment.
After the man walked away, the actress assured: “”This is the first time something like this has happened to me. It seems to me that we have to be attentive to these things, just as there are causes that are going around on television, it would be great pay attention to hate messages against the trans community”.
This generated great repudiation in social networks and many actors showed their support for Genesio Peña.
