The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, confirmed that today he will formalize his resignation from the body and its bench, which ends in December 2023. The issue will be discussed this Tuesday in a special session called by the Front of All to assume as Minister of Economy, Productive Development and Agriculture.

Massa had announced that on Wednesday President Alberto Fernández will take the oath of office and then at a press conference he will “communicate the work plan, objectives and axes to be addressed, as well as the mechanics of the first 10 days that will give us a path to go through and the challenges to face as a country”.

When Massa resigns as national deputy, the president of the Piquetero Party, Juan Marino, who today is an official of the Ministry of Social Development led by Andrés Larroque, will take over in his place.

The special session to deal with Massa’s resignation will take place at 2:00 p.m. and there the new president of the Chamber of Deputies will be elected at the proposal of the Front of All, since it is the first minority in the legislative body.
