The Palacio de Hacienda formalized today with the pharmaceutical chambers a price agreement of 3.8% per month for medicines until next March, the portfolio reported.

The signing took place after a meeting with businessmen from the sector chaired by the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa and the Secretary of Commerce Matías Tombolini.

The signed agreement establishes increases in 3.8% monthly from December to March 31 for the prescription drugs and it does not reach those of free sale. The increases will be based on the retail prices in force in November.

Tombolini stressed that the agreement “is very important because it is a sign that builds predictability for companies, but above all, for those who buy the medicines every month.”

The agreement was supported by the Industrial Chamber of Argentine Pharmaceutical Laboratories (CILFA), the Business Chamber of Pharmaceutical Laboratories (COOPERALA) and the Argentine Chamber of Medicinal Specialties (CAEME).
