The town of Oncativo celebrates from this Saturday the 48th edition of the National Homemade Salami Festival. The festival takes place until Monday at the Unión de Oncativo club.
The traditional celebration, from the south of the province, exhibits the longest salami in the country. The traditional product made by Oncativenses has a length of 151.70 meters and is proclaimed with a new record.
Regarding the amount of public, for this year the capacity will be complete in the Unión club compared to last year.
This festivity aims to contribute to the sausage industry. In addition, each year the festival vindicates the customs of the Piedmontese immigrants in this region.
The evening sees many nationally renowned artists on stage. At the opening, attendees will be able to enjoy the typical Argentine food court and the world. On the first day, “Ale Medina, the voice of Tucumán” and other artists will take the stage.
On the second day of the festival, on Sunday, the main function will be the presentation of the show “Bien Argentino”, led by the artist from Oncativo, Ángel Carabajal.
In addition, Facundo Toro, Lucio “El Indio” Rojas, Natalia Pastorutti, Marcelo Iripino and Julian Burgos are part of the show. With the special participation of Raúl Lavié. In closing, Oscar Lucarelli and the Popular Quartet will be the ones to crown the second date.
Monday will be the time for children, the Casa de Valientes Foundation will be in charge of promoting activities on the last day of this celebration.
