This Wednesday the INDEC published a report detailing that the rate of poverty it stood at 36.5% in Argentina at the end of the first half of 2022, equivalent to 16.5 million people. For its part, the indigence stood at 8.8%, which represents 4 million people.

The rate of 36.5% represents a down 4.1 points compared to the 40.6% that had been registered in the same period of 2021. In turn, dropped 1.8 points compared to the second half of last year.

Meanwhile, the indigence fell 1.9 points year-on-year but rose 0.6 compared to the previous period.
