The national government added refrigerators and washing machines to the purchase plan for electrical appliances in 30 installments that will come into force as of this Friday throughout Argentina.
According to the Presidency, the plan includes refrigerators, washing machines, cell phones, televisions and low-consumption air conditioners, of national production and with frozen prices for 90 days.
In addition, he explained that “the fee rate will be 48% per year, which is half of the current rate in the financial system” and “national banks, chains with physical premises and bank associations” will participate.
In the case of air conditioners, “the objective of the measure is to promote the incorporation of efficient technologies that allow energy savings to be generated.”
The program of 30 installments is added to one of 42 for retired men and women that will be launched in November, with the same range of household appliances.
Official sources indicated that the consumption plan in installments will have a cap of up to $200,000 for the products that will be covered.
The news was known after President Alberto Fernández received the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, this afternoon in his office at the Casa Rosada, to finish outlining the plan for the purchase of electrical appliances.
