As reported by the government of Córdoba, this afternoon, Governor Juan Schiaretti met in NY with investors, debt holders and executives of the largest US bank, JP Morgan. At the bank’s headquarters, topics such as the current situation of the province and the country were discussed.

From the investment side, the presidential candidate spoke about the public works plan carried out in his government, the investment in trunk gas pipelines and the completion of industrial parks. Given this framework, the governor maintained that the Province always maintains “predictability and grants certainty to those who invest”and added that “commitments are fulfilled”thanking those present “confidence in Córdoba«.

The investor groups present this afternoon were MetLife; Schröders; RV; Blackrock; NWI; Fintech, and Pictet. In addition to JP Morgan executives: Lisandro Miguens, Guillermo Infante, Gorka Lalaguna and Gisela Brant.

The governor was accompanied by the province, the Minister of Coordination, Silvina Rivero; the president of Banco de Córdoba, Daniel Tillard and the secretary of Communications, Marcos Bovo.

Scharetti and his 2023 agenda

This morning, the governor was part of the panel “Implementing public policies for the 2030 Agenda: Experiences of local and regional governments and the role of international organizations” (implementation of public policies for the 2030 agenda: experiences of local and regional governments and the role of international organizations) in the framework of a meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the government of Córdoba, held in the United Nations headquarters.

The governor was the main speaker of the evening and was accompanied by representatives of the Basque Country, the region of Catalonia, Ecuador, Kenya and Portugal, among others. There, the president reviewed the works carried out in the province in different areas, implemented in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as; road infrastructure, gas, electricity, drinking water, housing, health, education, connectivity, the plan for trunk aqueducts and sewerage networks, among others.

“I want to reaffirm our commitment to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the incorporation of sustainable development frameworks in our public policies. We recognize that the infrastructure for productive and social development is key to moving towards a prosperous and equitable future. We will work tirelessly to continue strengthening our infrastructure, promoting innovation and strengthening productive capacities, with the aim of building a stronger, more inclusive and sustainable province for generations to come.” Schiaretti maintained, and thanked the support of international organizations and the OECD.

Local and Regional Government Forum on the 2030 agenda

Tomorrow, 10 a.m. local, the governor will be part of the 2023 High Level Political Forum (HLPF) at the United Nations headquarters.
