The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation informs that in order to accompany the producers affected by the most serious drought in Argentine history, the Ministry of Economy has arranged a series of measures aimed at generating relief in the sector.

In this sense, a Decree of the Executive Power will be issued, whose subsequent regulation will be implemented through a Joint Resolution of the Ministry of Agriculture and AFIP, so that producers who are in an emergency zone and whose main activity is agriculture and/or livestock, automatically access the tax relief benefits established by the emergency law, without the need to carry out any procedure.

In addition, the Decree will allow the AFIP to establish a payment facility plan for the producers affected by the emergency have the possibility of regularizing all types of tax debt in up to 48 monthly installments.

The number of installments will depend on equitable conditions for the normalization of debts, considering the origin and type of debt that you intend to cancel and the evaluation of the degree of compliance with your formal and material duties.

Tax obligations and social security resources, expired or whose expiration date operates in the month of the presentation of the plan of payment facilities, together with their interest and fines, may be regularized.

In addition, by regularizing the pension debts that producers have, it will be easier for them to take bank loans, since many financial entities restrict access to financing due to the existence of unpaid pension obligations.

On the other hand, summonses for failure to submit sworn statements and payment of obligations, tax execution trials and the lifting of embargoes on bank accounts will be suspended; advance payment of Income Tax; and Tax benefits will be granted for the forced sale of wombs.

The suspension of the income of advances corresponding to taxes on income and on personal assets will be in force until the end of the productive cycle following the one in which the state of emergency ends. These are those maturities that would have been set between February 1, 2023 and the end date of the validity period of the aforementioned state of emergency.

The deduction will be made in the Income Tax for the forced sale of property so that the producers can deduct in the tax balance of the income tax, and100% of the benefits derived from the forced sale of cattle, sheep, goats or pigs.

In the case of the monotax, the monthly obligations corresponding to the tax component whose maturities operate during the period of validity of the state of emergency or agricultural disaster zone will enjoy the benefit.

These decisions will allow effective and direct assistance to more than 60,000 agricultural producers whose provinces have declared an emergency.
