A survey carried out by the province’s Ombudsman, Mario Decara, revealed that 93.92% of the minimum vital and mobile salary of a typical family in Córdoba is used to cover the basic food basket.
The agency indicated that for a typical household of 4 people, the total basic basket was $95,802. Thus, and taking into account that as of June 1 the vital and mobile minimum wage was stipulated at $45,540, it can be deduced that almost two minimum wages were needed for a typical family not to be considered poor.
The basic food basket increased by 4.73% compared to the previous month. So far in 2022, meanwhile, the increase has been almost 40%. In year-on-year terms, the rise reaches 62%.
