The informal “Blue” dollar jumped sharply towards the close of trading on Monday and finished above a new high of $408 per unit. The rise stood out in a day of mixed results on the broad exchange rate front, and in which the Central Bank accumulated purchases thanks to the agricultural dollar program to promote exports from the soybean complex and regional economies.

The last nominal record for informal currency had been the 28th of March when in Buenos Aires it climbed to $397 and to $401 in Córdoba. But on Thursday, April 13, it rose to $400 in Buenos Aires and 404 in Córdoba. The come 14 repeated the value. So far this year, the “blue” has increased by more than 35 pesos.

This is why specialists believe that Parallel dollars will continue to be under pressure during April, due to the indirect issuance that the agricultural dollar export increase program entails.
