On Monday night, the eight-year-old boy from Santa Fe, who suffers from severe acute hepatitis, received a liver transplant after finding a donor in La Pampa. The health authorities maintained that it is an isolated case and ruled out a possible outbreak, despite the fact that the origin is unknown.
In turn, the doctors said that the patient was very critical, so the arrival of the organ was crucial. The operation was scheduled to last between 10 and 12 hours, and for the moment there would be talk of a “successful transplant”.
