This Wednesday the president of the Cordoba Culture Agency, Raul Sansicatogether with the vice president of the portfolio, Gaston Represented at the Casa de la Cultura Multiespacio Artístico de Río Cuarto the call for the 10th Visual Arts Salon 2023, aimed at artists residing in the province of Córdoba.
The selected works will be three and each one will be awarded with 150 thousand pesos, without order of merit, which will also be acquired by the Córdoba Culture Agency, becoming part of the heritage of the Province. In addition, three honorable mentions will be awarded in order of merit: 1st, 2nd and 3rd mention.
About the call, sansica held: “These spaces allow artists to express themselves and we give them visibility because they represent what the people want to say. We are interested in art reaching every point in the province because it is the heritage of all Cordoba”.
For his part, the Agency’s local delegate, Osvaldo Simone express: “We have rich material from Cordoba authors, the idea is that the works are exhibited in different locations in our region. This has to do with a state policy that is the federalization of culture”.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 9, 2023 at the Casa de la Cultura Multiespacio Artístico in Río Cuarto. The following also participated in the artistic promotion: the coordinator of the visual arts area of the Casa de Cultura, Marcela Jaymez; the representative of visual arts of the municipality of Río Cuarto, matthew gimena; the person in charge of Creative and Cultural Industries of the CECIS, Cecilia Castillo and the main cultural references of the region.
Only one work per artist will be received. The reception will take place on May 15, 16 and 17, 2023at the time of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.in the office of the Visual Arts Area of the Casa de la Cultura, located at General Peace 922, city of Rio Cuarto. They can also be sent by mail, for which the date of the postmark will be taken into account. The correct packaging of the work and the use of common shipping services with tracking are recommended, attaching the documentation and signed form in a sealed envelope outside the packaging.
The measurements of the works They may not be less than 100 centimeters nor exceed 200 for each of its sides, including the frame. In order to protect their integrity during transfers, they must not be framed with glass and they must be presented ready for assembly and exhibition under a free theme.
