INDEC reported this Tuesday that, in the construction sector, the highest historical peak was registered in February with 467,201 blank jobs. This implies a growth of 16.4% compared to the same month in 2022 and the highest figure recorded since November 2022, when there were 459,851 similar positions.

In addition, the increase in employment in the sector during February, compared to January 2023, tripled the historical average month-on-month variation for the period. Within this framework, registered employment in the sector completed a series of 23 consecutive months with growth rates above two digits.

Likewise, activity increased by 3.5% in March 2023 compared to the previous month, 1.2% compared to March of last year.

Regarding the sale of inputs in the sector for public and private works, INDEC highlights an increase of 21.6% in granite and calcareous mosaics; 19.8% in finished concrete; 18.5% in faucets, steel tubes, glass and other inputs; 6.4% in portland cement; 2.7% in plasterboard and 2.4% in construction paints.
