The demand for cancer patients who could not access their diagnosis due to the pandemic grows
There is today in Argentina a high demand for oncology services in Córdoba. As a result of the pandemic, medical centers were forced to dedicate their health resources to patients with coronavirus, and this led to a decrease in care for other pre-existing diseases.
Two years later, professionals assure that they receive people with advanced disease, since diagnostic methods such as mammograms, colonoscopy or pap smears did not work during the mandatory quarantine. That is why, in the Province of Córdoba, there is currently an excess demand for patients who need to be diagnosed for the first time.
