The national government formalized the call for extraordinary sessions between “January 23 to February 28” as announced yesterday by the presidential spokesperson Gabriela Cerruti, as published today in the Official Gazette. Decree 17/2023 bears the signature of President Alberto Fernández and the Chief of Staff Juan Manzur.
The Executive Power confirmed the inclusion in the agenda of the call to Extraordinary sessions of Congress the request to impeach the judges of the Supreme Court of Justice and announced the sending of other initiatives related to reforms to the judicial system.
This was announced at a press conference from the Casa Rosada, by the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, and today confirmed in the decree that calls for extraordinary sessions, to deal with 27 bills, published in the annex and among which also there are initiatives related to scientific and technological promotion, the creation of national universities and the pension system.
They also highlight that “the treatment of the bill that modifies the Law of the Council of the Magistracy is encouraged by virtue of the provisions of points II and III) of the operative part of the ruling issued in the proceedings “Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad of Buenos Aires and another c/ EN -law 26,080 -dto. 816/99 and others s/ knowledge process”.
