An Argentine production that covers a sadly common problem among young people from all over the world arrives on the big screen. This is ‘Paula’, a film directed by Florencia Wehbe from Córdoba and which is encouraged to explore eating disorders from within and the growing obsession with the “perfect body” that fits into hegemony.

In the midst of her most powerful adolescence, that of 15 years, the young protagonist begins to feel uncomfortable in her own body. She doesn’t get a dress for her birthday party, she starts to hate herself, she feels like nobody understands her.

Without going into stereotypes or common places with obvious morals, the director makes us see the sadness and anxiety through the eyes of Paula, starring Lucía Castro. Lara Griboff, Julieta Montes, Tiziana Faleschini and Liz Correa also participate. Watch the trailer below:
