Through Resolution No. 414/2022 published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic, the Ministry of Social Development approved the request to acquire yerba this morning. It was requested by the National Directorate of Food Safety.

This purchase of yerba mate will amount to approximately 650,000,000 pesos and will be divided into two tenders: one for 331,920,000 pesos and another for 311,456,000 pesos. The resolution dictates that the companies that will be in charge of offering this product must comply with the following requirements:

  1. IGNACIO KLEÑUK (CUIT No. 20-07554735-9) Line 1, alternative 3, for the amount of EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND (800,000) units of yerba mate made with sticks, presented in containers with a net content of ONE (1) kilogram each, according to the specifications of the Specifications, brand YO-LA-VI, for a total amount of PESOS THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE MILLION NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND ($331,920,000.-).
  2. GRUPO ÁREA SRL (CUIT N° 30-71590489-2) Line 1, alternative 5, for the amount of EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND (800,000) units of yerba mate made with sticks, presented in containers with a net content of ONE (1) kilogram each one, according to the Specifications, brand YERUTÍ, for a total amount of PESOS THREE HUNDRED ELEVEN MILLION FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY SIX THOUSAND ($311,456,000.-).

The statement argues at the beginning the reason for this purchase: “In order to achieve the acquisition of yerba mate made with sticks, to serve the population in a situation of vulnerability, requested by the National Directorate of Food Safety of the aforementioned Ministry.”

And this continues, by assuring that, after having analyzed the offers received by various firms, it established that the two aforementioned comply with “the technical specifications required in the Specifications of Bases and Particular Conditions”.

Is there a budget?

And is there credit to make this purchase, this expense or investment? According to the budget directorate of the ministerial institution, yes: “The existence of credit has been verified to meet the expenses arising from this contracting”.
