This Monday, Deputy Governor Manuel Calvo granted 43 million pesos to the Green Transfer Center of the Sierras Chicas corridor.

In a ceremony held in Río Ceballos, Calvo assured that this work will serve to “leave open-air dumps behind.” “The nine localities that make up this corridor. And, in addition to incorporating the region into the framework of the circular economy, it will generate genuine jobs,” he added.

The localities to which the lieutenant governor referred are Mendiolaza, Unquillo, Río Ceballos, Salsipuedes, El Manzano, Villa Cerro Azul, Agua de Oro, La Granja and La Pampa.

On the other hand, he explained that the waste will be classified and separated and then transported to a treatment plant in Piedras Blancas.
